Tarte Tape Shape Concealer Review

I'm a full coverage foundation lover, so I love the full-coverage concealer too. I was on the hunt for a good full coverage concealer for a very long time that would hide my under-eye circles and blemishes and give me a flawless, creaseless look which won't look cakey on my combination skin. I've tried so many drug-stores to high-end concealers but nothing seemed to work for me.

My friend suggested the shape tape concealer that everyone has been raving about these days. I tried hers which was bought overseas and I ended up loving it. So at last, I got my hands on this beauty when Sephora finally launched it a while ago. I got my colour matched from a tarte makeup consultant. It is $37 (AUD) and comes in a huge variety of shades for every skin tone. It's called a double-duty concealer which means this product can be used as a concealer, for contour and, highlight.

Tarte claims that this product is long wearing, easily blendable, buildable, instantly brightens your under-eye and gives you a firmer and lifted look. Since I have started using it, hands down, I'm shook and totally in love with it. Oh my gosh, it does what is promised. Tarte really has nailed this formula.

It's quite a thick concealer but it feels very lightweight, hydrating and blends out so seamlessly and won't give you a drying look. Since I've started using it, my under-eyes look great with a perfect finish and the concealer doesn't settle in my fine lines whilst also lifting my under-eye area. This concealer lasts all day without looking cakey. I use a thin layer around my eyes and it covers so beautifully. It works well both with and without primer. I have tried it on top and under foundation and it works well either way.

In my experience, it has been the only concealer that doesn't settle in my lines. Remember with tarte shape tape, less is more. Shape tape is great but you must know how to use it properly. I apply three tiny dots under my eyes and blend it with a wet beauty blender. After that giving my under-eye just a light dust of powder and it stays put and looks flawless.  

The best decision I have ever made is to buy this concealer. It was totally worth paying the high price for this excellent concealer that lasts all day without going dry or cakey. This concealer has made my makeup application so much easier and looking flawless.

I am totally in love with it and I highly, highly recommend it! I could see myself buying this concealer for a very long time and I honestly don't think I will ever go back to using another concealer. 

If you are looking for a concealer that really conceals, shape tape it is.
